Green Coffee Bean Extract:The Virtual Gear in Weight Loss

A klorogénsav felelős a testsúlycsökkentésért a szervezet zsírfelszívódásának csökkentésével.

Különböző vizsgálatok alapján ezek a zöld kávékivonat kivonatai:
1. Segít a hatékony súlycsökkentésnek, egyes vizsgálatok bebizonyították, hogy a fogyókúra hatékony eszköze még a napi rutin kihasználása, fogyása vagy megváltoztatása nélkül is.

2. Javítja az anyagcserét, mert gyorsabban égeti a testzsírokat; segíti a test anyagcseréjének javítását még anélkül is, hogy bármit megtennének.

3. Megakadályozza a cukorbetegség kialakulását, csökkenti a glükóz felszívódását a szervezetben.

4. Megakadályozza a szívbetegségeket. Csökkenti a szénhidrátok felszívódását az emésztőrendszerből, és fenntartja a testben lévő cukor mennyiségét, ugyanakkor csökkenti a vérnyomást.

5. A kivonat segít a magas vérnyomás megelőzésében. Azok a személyek, akik a megfelelő adagolással zöld kávébabkivonatot kaptak, kedvező hatást gyakoroltak az erekre, ami csökkentette a vérnyomást.

6. Lassítja az öregedést, mert antioxidáns tulajdonságokkal rendelkezik.

7.Green Coffee Bean Extract improves mood; a study done in 2012 found out that it positively affects the mood and cognition of healthy elderly people. In spite of the mentioned benefits, there are still people who contradict it due to the insufficient evidences proving the efficacy of the compound. Green Coffee Bean Extract appears to be safe for human consumption, however, listed here are some of the common side effects.

These are with limited basis so these might be just a coincidence. These are headache, urinary tract infection, anxiety, jitteriness, rapid heart beat, diarrhea and sometimes allergies. Dosing depends on the concentration of the product. Based from studies done, the dose used ranges from 240mg-1,200mg per day. However, the recommended dose is 400 mg served 3 times a day 30 minutes before every meal.
Note:
A Green Coffee Bean Extract maximális dózisa napi 1200 mg legyen. Ne feledje, hogy a klorogénsav túlzott bevitele szívbetegséghez vezethet, mivel növeli az aminosav homocisztein mennyiségét, ami az artériák keményedéséhez és a véralvadáshoz vezet.

The Three-Legged Stool Rule

When it comes to weight loss, and also to weight maintenance, there are 3 things that we are in control of 99% of the time: the WHAT, the HOW MUCH and the WHEN we eat.

During your normal, every day routines, and barring any extraordinary circumstances of course, you must plan your menus in advance based on your schedule for the next day or two; you have to make sure you have all the food items you planned for; you have to use portion control in your preparation; and then you have to follow through with your plan for those days. Only in this way will you have what you need at home to pack what you need to take with you for your travels throughout the day.

But what about when you're planning to be away for the weekend or a week's vacation? Or, day-tripping to visit colleges with your teen, or leaving early in the morning for a day in the city with friends? What do you do? I get asked these questions a lot by clients who are nervous about not having control and 'falling off' when they are going to be away from home for an extended period of time. As I discuss in the office, I want you to visualize a three-legged wooden stool. I want you to pretend that written on each leg is WHAT to eat, HOW MUCH to eat and WHEN to eat.

Let's talk about Leg #1: the WHAT to eat. When you are away from home, you are in control of WHAT you eat. Depending on where you are and for how long you're away from home, and certainly if you're only out for the day, you most certainly CAN plan for and pack a good part, if not all, of what you need. Having said that, even if you know you'll be eating in a restaurant, you absolutely can (a) have a say in where you'll be eating; (b) can do a little homework in advance by visiting that restaurant's online menu and/or calling that restaurant or other venue; and (c) make the right choice of WHAT you'll be ordering.

It's not too difficult to find a place where you can get a salad or cooked veggies with grilled chicken or seafood; telling the restaurant you want no added salt or gobs of butter, for example; or doubling up on veggies instead of mashed potatoes in that instance. I could give you many other suggestions, but the point is: You can control Leg #1 of the stool--the WHAT kind of food you'll be putting in your mouth.

Leg #3 of the three-legged stool is WHEN. It is very important to make sure you not let more than 3 hours go by without eating something. Whether losing weight, stabilizing weight, or someone who has no weight to lose at all, eating every 3 hours (as well as staying properly hydrated with water) is what assures that you'll always have a log in your stomach... something for your body to burn all day. Again, if you visualize throwing a log into your fireplace at home, say, 8am... by about 10:30 or 11, that 8am log is almost all burned out and the fire is very low. But, if you throw another log or two into the fireplace before it's completely out, the fire rises again. Same with your stomach.

Therefore, when you're away from home, and barring an extraordinary circumstance, it is almost never impossible to get something into your mouth at least every 3 hours. Based on your schedule and what time you're supposed to be where, you can pack a piece of fruit or two in your bag; or a 1 cup serving of mini carrots in a little plastic bag; or 1 or 2 small low-fat cheese sticks or a yogurt, etc. and so forth... the point being... you can control the second leg of the stool, the WHEN you will eat. Leg #2, the middle leg, the HOW MUCH of what to eat, is the only part of the 3-legged equation where you have to give up some control-not all control, just some control-when you're away from home for an extended period of time. In your home environment, you can control your portions 100% of the time: you have the tools of measuring cups and spoons and a small food scale to weigh and measure your food.

When you are planning to be out, again depending on the where and for how long, you can prepare and pack much (if not all) of what you need, and you should always do it whenever you can. But, let's assume that you can't. In that situation, you have to strive to do the very best that you can. You cannot throw all caution to the wind, telling yourself for example: "Well, I can't be exact with my portion control, so I'll just eat as much as I want and deal with it tomorrow."... and, from my experience, when our clients are doing well, losing weight, feeling great and in control, they never want to eat more... so, instead, they err on the side of caution, and almost always end up eating less than they should because they were so afraid they'd eat more!

So, we have 3 legs of a stool, and each leg is exactly the same size... at the start. The stool is perfectly balanced, it doesn't wobble at all. The first leg--the WHAT--you absolutely can control. You can control what you pack and take with you and/or you can control whether you CHOOSE a piece of fish or chicken or a slice of pizza. You can choose whether you snack on an apple or a yogurt or a bag of M&M's. So, the WHAT leg stays balanced. The third leg--the WHEN--you absolutely can control. No matter where you are, time is time... 3 hours in New Jersey is 3 hours in New York is 3 hours in the Bahamas and so forth. Makes no difference. You can control the timing of your meals and snacks. So, the WHEN leg also stays balanced. The middle leg, the second leg--the HOW MUCH--may end up being a little 'off' even with your best intentions.

This is the only leg of the 3 that may come up a little short. So, try to visualize the same stool once again. When we started this conversation, each of those legs was the exact same size; the stool was perfectly balanced; there was no wobbling when you sat on it. Now, try to visualize that one leg-the HOW MUCH leg-just an inch or two shorter, which represents the less-than-perfect portion control. So, you have a 3-legged stool. 2 legs the exact same size. 1 leg a little shorter. When you sit on it, do you fall over? Absolutely not. ... which means the stool is still balanced, even if it's a little wobbly.

Remember, when you're away from home for an extended time, be it a day, two days, a week... whatever you do in terms of what and how much you eat is coming home with you! Therefore, your goal should always be to strive to be as perfect as you can in the areas of WHAT, HOW MUCH and WHEN you eat, just as if you were home and achieving those goals every day. Then, if you are in complete control of two of those three legs-because it is easy to do so more often than not- but you fall a little short in the third leg, you'll still end up in a very, very good place, both physically and emotionally.

And whether you lose weight, stay the same, or even put on a pound, you'll feel good about having had a goal, having planned to achieve that goal, and then following through. I just want to say one more thing as it relates to extended time away from home, and I know many of you will be planning one or more of those kinds of out-of-town trips for the fall and winter holidays, which will soon be upon us. Remember... in those circumstances, the end-goal should NOT be to come home with a weight loss... but to come home the same weight as you were when you left for vacation.

If you focus only on being in control of at least 2 of those 3 legs of the stool that I just spoke about, chances are you will come home without a weight gain and you'll pick up right where you left off. If you go away with a 'fattitude,' throwing caution to the wind because you're on vacation and you think that's a license to eat and drink whatever you want and as much as you want, you will absolutely come home with way more than a pound or two... and while that food and drink might feel good while you're at pool side on vacation, you won't remember it at all when you step on the scale back home and feel like crap.

On top of that, instead of picking up where you left off, you'll first have to spend a couple weeks or more digging yourself out of a 2-3-4 or more pounds weight gain hole just to get back to where you were before you left for vacation. And I can tell you from all my years experience that when clients have been really focused on controlling 2 of those 3 legs I spoke about, they almost always come home with the pleasant surprise of weight loss!

Plastic Travel Containers Are Your Weight Loss Allies

Have you had serious issues trying to eat healthy lunches when you're away from home?

Maybe you have the unhealthy tendency to go to either a fast food spot or a restaurant when it's your lunch break and you end up eating a meal that is far to hefty in size and calories.

If you want to have success changing your lunchtime eating habits in an effort to lose weight, one of your greatest allies in accomplishing this will be with plastic travel containers. You may not think much of these little marvels especially if you haven't used them much in the past, but once you see how helpful they can be hopefully you'll change your mind and stock your kitchen with a wide assortment of various sizes and shapes. Frequently eating out at fast food places or restaurants will present situations where far too much sustenance can potentially be eaten.

This alone can be the number one contributor to substantial weight gain if this habit continually occurs on a regular basis. Changing this eating habit to one where meals are prepared at home you will have much more success controlling the amount of food placed on the plate in front of you. In addition to having much more control over your portion size, you will also be able to cook a bit extra to ensure you will have food left afterwards.

This extra food will become the all-important meals for the future, and this is exactly where plastic travel containers come into play. Instead of simply covering the dish and placing the entire pan or pot into the refrigerator where it may or may not get used at a later date, get in the habit of portioning the leftover food into plastic travel containers. Once stored like this, you now have ready-to-go meals that can be used for any occasion.

If you don't plan on eating the food within the next couple days, you also have the option to freeze the meal for up to three months. It helps immensely if you write the date and the food type on the lid or on a label so you know exactly when it was stored and what's inside. By having a few meals stored neatly away in the freezer, you will have emergency food ready for the days you don't feel like cooking or on the days when there's no leftovers from the previous night.

This way you will not have to resort to going to a fast food spot, restaurant, or order pizza delivery which all offer way too large of portion sizes and in turn, calories. When you consistently have meals packed in plastic travel containers to take with you when away from home, you will be able to avoid the temptations to go out and buy a fattening fast food meal. Not only will you eat healthier but you will save a lot of money each and every month. With each fast food meal costing $8-$10 after tax, you can see how beneficial it can be not only for your stomach but your wallet as well.

The next time you are at the market shopping for groceries, stop by the aisle with kitchen essentials and pick up a few packages of plastic travel containers in various sizes. You may also want to check your local dollar store (ie: 99 cent store, Dollar Tree) to see what they offer.

You'll often find 3 containers with lids for only a dollar so you can get a variety of 15 containers for around $5. If you take care of your plastic travel containers and don't lose/damage the lids, they can easily last a year or two and truly become one of your strongest allies in your journey towards a healthy, fit life.

6 Easy Ways To Motivate Yourself to Get Back Into Shape

For many people, getting back into consistent fitness training, particularly when using weights, can be challenging.

All too often many people give up on their physical body conditioning due to other interests and commitments that enter their lives - particularly as they get older, or they simply find the regularity and routine becomes a bit mundane. In many cases, the time-lapse between the last time they completed a serious workout and when they decide to start up again could be years - in some cases, decades.

Unfortunately, having quit an activity such as regular weight training, especially over a number of years, can result in unwanted, but inevitable consequences. These include diminished strength, weight gain (or more specifically, fat gain,) a decrease in general activity levels and loss of motivation.

Those keen on making a comeback to start training again, even if only to lose weight and feel better about themselves, can find things just as frustrating. Being unused to having lost some their former fitness and muscle mass is bad enough, but for those in particular who didn't learn proper technique and posture when they started training when they were younger, find they cannot rely so much on their bodies suppleness and vigour to see them through the demands of strength exercises, increasing their risk of injury.

Like any exercise, if using weight training as part of a fitness routine it has to be carried out regularly and routinely for it to have any meaningful, positive impact - and the desired results of a leaner, toned body, weight loss and more confidence. That means attending a lot of gym sessions - either at the local gym at home or wherever else the workouts will take place, which translates into a great deal of time and commitment, regardless of what level anyone's at.

This repetitiveness can sometimes become tedious, and even for those with the best intentions, the sight of the ultimate reward of why they started up again in the first place can be lost. Despite all these challenges however, starting up weight training again can be a successful endeavour. All that's needed is for someone to come into it with a different perspective, a new outlook. This can help individuals realise the rewards that make their time and dedication worthwhile - and help regain their passion and belief for training, and keep them in the game until they achieve their ultimate results. Here are a few tips when getting back into weight training again, while keeping injury-free and staying motivated for the long-term:

1) It's All About Technique Probably the most important aspect of returning to lifting heavy weights is technique. For most returning 'lifters' their body conditioning is not it was, and with the keenness and enthusiasm of getting back to doing resistance training again, a case of too much too soon can become their undoing. T
aking to the time to focus and re-learn (or even learn this time) correct technique and posture will allow for more efficient, safe and enjoyable lifting. Injuries can thus be avoided - less pressure being placed on muscles, joints and tendons by using correct technique, with the added advantage of quicker results being realised, which can only result in fuelling the motivation to keep on winning in the gym.

 2) Slowly Does it As alluded to in the first point, too much too soon can cause disappointment or even harm. Whatever the level anyone begins at again, it is important to not overdo it by starting with weights that are too heavy, or doing too many repetitions of any given exercise. Admittedly, it can be frustrating to start back below where you left off, but remember you're not back where you left off any longer - it's been a long layoff, with age and muscle atrophy filling in the gaps, so take it slow and pace yourself the first few sessions. You will then get an idea of how your body reacts, and when you can push on for greater gains.

3) Set Yourself Goals Setting goals in strength training is important at any level - but more so after returning to it after a long break. This is because any gains you achieve - either in gaining more muscle or weight loss or change of body shape - will typically happen within a different timeframe to what you might have experienced in the past (see point 5 below.) So it's important to gauge yourself against how your body reacts now, not how it used to. Setting goals is an entirely personal thing. They can be longer term (such as getting down to a certain body fat percentage by the end of the year) or short term, (such as increasing the weight of a particular exercise by the end of the week) but it's always useful to remember that they need to be specific and challenging, but not unrealistic for you - at least in the timeframe you've allowed. This will only lead to frustration and disappointment. An easy way to start making excuses not to train...

4) Keep a Progress Tracker You can achieve consistency of training when you track your progress accurately. It is a great motivator when you see your results on paper (or electronic device) - how much heavier you're lifting, how many more reps you're doing, how much muscle you've gained, your weight loss (or fat loss) - all these facts and stats add up to a satisfying experience that keeps you hungry for more. It will also reveal where you've not gained and perhaps slacked off a bit, helping you regain your focus on what needs doing for next time.
5) Use Your Advantage Did you know that as a previous lifter, your body is naturally 'programmed' to build muscle easier than if you were just starting off? It's a scientific fact (published by the National Academy of Sciences) that even though your muscles regress somewhat during a long break, they more often than not retain some 'memory' of having at one time being larger and stronger. This means that when they are exposed to resistance training again, the body is able to employ muscle memory to trigger a much faster reaction and addition of muscle proteins.

6) Make it fun For many people, doing anything, including exercise is more fun when doing with someone else, or in a group.
If you can arrange a regular 'gym buddy' to workout with, this can help motivate you to get to workouts more often (and on time!) as well as adding an edge of competitiveness - which can only help to motivate and progress you further. What You Need To Know About Weight Loss Programs And Diets?

What You Need To Know About Weight Loss Programs And Diets?

Weight remains to be one of the most challenging topics with a good number of people looking for the best ways to lose weight and keep fit.

Considering how unhealthy and risky excessive weight can be, it is generally advisable to find ways to maintain your ideal weight to minimize the risks.

Unfortunately, there is too much confusion as to which programs, diets and programs are most effective when it comes to cutting weight. Finding out as much as possible about your weight loss options is the best guide to a program, a diet or a product that will work for you.

Here is what you need to know. 1. It is important to involve your doctor, nutritionist or dietician in your weight loss program to guide you through the best foods, exercises and help you monitor your progress.
Sometimes it is not enough to take up the program all by yourself because it is easy to lose focus. 2. When choosing a weight loss product, find out as much as you can about it first.

Consider every ingredient that has been used and how helpful it is going to be towards helping you lose the weight. Choose diet products that have clinical backing, money back guarantee and ingredients that are certified and regulated to be on the safe side. 3. Remember that just because a program, diet, or product worked for one of your friends, it does not guarantee that it will work for you.

The best thing you can do is let a professional guide you into the best program most suitable for you and the best products that will help you attain your desired weight. Weight loss objectives vary from one person to another and bodies react differently as well. Focus on your program and give it your best even though it takes time to generate the desired results. 4. No single program will deliver overnight results for you.

For this reason, enter into your weight loss program with an open mind and set realistic goals to keep disappointments at bay. Be prepared that it could take longer to achieve desired weight when following a healthy exercise and diet regime. 5. There are so many fad diets and ineffective products in the market.
Some contain ingredients that do little or nothing to help your weight loss. Take the time to carefully examine what you are about to get yourself into before investing in it. You can use reviews to determine the potential that the program or product has for you. 6. Sometimes eating healthy is not enough. You might need to incorporate a few lifestyle changes and exercises into your weight loss program to enjoy successful results.

The secret is to come up with a plan that you can keep up with every single day. 7. Some weight loss programs do not work very well with some medical conditions or medications. This is why it is extremely important to involve your doctor and a weight loss professional to help you make the right choices without compromising your health.

My Experience With the Bulletproof Coffee Diet

My Experience With the Bulletproof Coffee Diet

The weight loss method that I have come across today is something called Bullet Proof Coffee.

Bullet proof coffee claims to increase productivity, concentration, creativity and burn fat.

Every so often a weight loss method hits the market and everyone goes crazy over it. The weight loss method that I have come across today is something called Bullet Proof Coffee. Bullet proof coffee was created by Dave Asprey who learned of it from a bunch of Sherpas at 18,000 foot in tibet. If I am totally honest, every time I come across a fad diet I am automatically skeptical. I've been around for long enough to know that when hype words like "toxins"or "fat burners" are used then usually the product is more hype than substance.

Within a few minutes of reading about Bullet proof coffee I had read these hype words multiple times. Bullet proof coffee claims to increase productivity, concentration, creativity and burn fat. Already after reading the above I become more skeptical. Bullet proof coffee is to be used as a meal replacement, so instead of having breakfast you would have a cup of bullet proof coffee. To make a bullet proof coffee you need: Organic Coffee, ½ of grass-fed, unsalted butter 1 tablespoon of MCT oil First blend the butter and the MCT oil together before pouring it into the coffee.

The concept behind the bullet proof coffee is that the unsalted natural butter is full of saturated fat that will sit in your stomach and break down slowly. This supposedly keeps you feeling fuller for longer and along with the coffee you will have a lot of energy. The MCT oil is also supposed to have metabolism boosting properties.
Sounds good, however I found the truth is different from the claims. I replaced my morning breakfast with the bullet proof coffee for 14 days and by the end of it I wanted to eat my normal breakfast. The only good point of taking the bullet proof coffee was that I found it woke me up very quickly. The coffee tasted very strong as the butter did not dilute it much, so if you like strong coffee this would also be a bonus. Other than waking me up which a normal coffee does then I honestly did not find much use for this weight loss method.

For me the bullet proof coffee had many problems. First of all, the butter was supposed to keep me fuller for longer. This claim is absolute rubbish. Bullet proof coffee contains roughly 400 calories. Thats a whole chocolate bar and more. One cup contains around 51 grams of fat, 0 carbs and 1g of protein. Compare that to the nutrients in a normal breakfast and you could be getting up to a 1/3rd less nutrients, and you also feel hungrier.

Another thing that I hated about this weight loss method was that the butter and the coffee would separate and it would look horrible, however this did not affect the taste, and I was pleasantly surprised. Conclusion If I was asked to do the bullet proof coffee diet again I wouldn't as I did not find it useful and in the two weeks my weight stayed roughly the same.
This however was to be expected as I kept my diet roughly the same and at my basal metabolic rate. I did this so I could test if the bullet proof coffee had metabolism boosting effects. It did not, and like everything concerning diet, the only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you consume.

Having said the above, I can see the science behind the method, and I can also see why it would work for some people, however drinking coffee alone will not make you lose weight. You will still need to eat less than your body burns to lose weight. If you're looking to put your body into a state of ketosis to lose weight then this diet may be something you could look at.

I think ultimately you are going to have to decide for yourself, me personally I would rather replace coffee with a cup of oats, a protein shake and some peanut butter. 1 its much cheaper, 2 its tastier and 3 it will keep you feeling fuller and give you a slow release of energy throughout the day. As you can tell from my review I was not much of a fan.

3 Strategies For Losing Weight Without Dieting

3 Strategies For Losing Weight Without Dieting

I really dislike the word "diet".

I think that most people who want to lose weight break out into a cold sweat when they hear the word.

It conjures up fears of being hungry all the time and feeling deprived. Not a great strategy for long term and sustainable weight loss. When I talk to clients about losing weight, I tell them that they will lose weight without dieting. How's that possible?
Doesn't weight loss and crazy fad diets go together? Maybe for short-term weight loss it does. But weight loss that is long-term and sustainable is done with subtle changes to lifestyle.

Here are 3 strategies for losing weight without dieting: 1. Eat Slowly: This strategy is so simple that you may find it hard to believe. You can lose all of the weight you want if you did this one thing every day. Here is the way it works - It takes about 20 minutes for your gut to communicate with your brain that you are full.
That's a long time, considering the average meal-time for folks is about 6 minutes.
Think about all of the food you can eat before your brain says that you are full!! This is the main reason why so many of us OVEREAT. So the fix for this is to eat slowly. In fact, you should shoot for taking 15 to 20 minutes to complete your meal. The best way to do this is to take a bite of food and put your fork down. Talk to the other people at the table. Take a drink of water.

Listen to the conversation of others. Then go ahead and take
Because we live in an age of abundance, food is readily available. Se we eat more for pleasure and entertainment than for sustenance.
Try this - Stop eating when you feel like you are about 80% full. What does this feel like? It is a feeling of "not being hungry". In other words, when your hunger is satisfied, stop eating. Even if you have food still on your plate, stop eating and put it into a piece of Tupperware.

This is going to do a few things. First, it will enhance your mind/body connection. Secondly, it will shrink your stomach. When you eat more slowly and stop when you are no longer hungry, your stomach will shrink. This is a lot less expensive than gastric by-pass surgery. Once your stomach has shrunk a bit, it will be very easy to reduce your portion sizes.
 3. Cut Your Portion Sizes by 25% to 50%: If you are a "big eater", this one will sound impossible. But, if you slow down and stop eating when you are 80% full, then you will naturally eat less full. This will shrink your stomach and pretty soon you will feel totally satisfied on ½ of what you would normally eat. So think about what would happen to your waistline if you cut your food intake by 50%.

By the way, this is without changing the foods you eat normally. In other words, losing weight without dieting. I have a client who lost 65 pounds in 5 months by following these 3 strategies. He did not change his diet, just how much he was eating.
Once he lost the weight, he then started focusing on the nutrition end and introduced foods with a higher nutritional value. He wanted more "nutritional" bang for his "caloric" buck.

That allowed him to not only lose more weight, but significantly increase his energy. So if you have tried dieting in the past and nothing has worked, give these 3 strategies a try and see if you don't start seeing some results.
